The Peacock 10-03-2014

Location: 24 E 39th St.
Time: 12:30pm
People: FA, AP and myself

List:
-Two British spots inside the William Hotel in Murray Hill: The Peacock, a refined restaurant with the 19th century English gentleman's club decor, and The Shakepeare, the 16th century style rustic pub in the basement.
-At the more grown-up spot, The Peacock, I found myself to be the only woman among stylish business men during this bustling business lunch hour . But I did not feel uncomfortable at all due to their exceptional service.
-From warm scotch eggs to rabbit pies, classic British fare can be found here.
-The best part is the puddings ($11) and tea ($7 for pot) served in a beautiful tea set: Sticky toffee with date with rum sauce is excellent. Aromatic tea is by Bellocq in Greenpoint.

YES! The best tea set ever. Their library bar is stunning as well.
