Colson Patisserie 03-31-2013

Location: 374 9th Ave. BK
Time: 1pm
People: RB, CK and myself

Feelings: While rejoicing over Almondine Bakery's reopening in DUMBO, there are always more patisseries to try in Brooklyn. So many almond croissants, not enough time.

Colson Patisserie in South Slope specializes in Belgian and French pastries along with tarts and assortment of delightful desserts. Over wonderful cups of coffee or tea or something a bit stronger such as wine or Belgian beer, their savory selections of sandwiches and salads make a great lunch option. The modern, all white interior helps Park Slope look a bit edgier.

Kids will swear by their Teddy Bear Financiers. Utterly cute and buttery, financiers no longer have to resemble a bar of gold or sound like money-crazed peoples. For all the tired parents who are exhausted from earning money to buy the Teddy Bear Financiers, vanilla donuts will be there to soothe your soul. Very subtly sweet-- the oozing, creamy explosion of the airy donut is to die for.
