Seoul Chicken 09-27-2014

Location: 71 Clinton St.
Time: 12pm
People: RB, CK and myself

List:
-Chef Chaz Brown of Top Chef and Fatty Crab fame opened a new Korean-style fried chicken spot in LES.
-Chef chatted with us for a while--He is a lovely conversationalist. Of course we realized later who he was.
-Foodie football fans' (Go Gators!) dream: Saturday afternoon football over eight different types of chicken ($8 for 6 pcs) and non chicken snacks like kimchi fries ($6 with miso aioli). And interesting beer selection such as Hitachino beer by Kiuchi Brewery in Japan.
-RB's "szechuan peppercorn and sea salt wings" caused a tongue numbing sensation. Very crispy and tasty and a large portion for a good price.
-Fried cauliflower ($7) and sing sing rock shrimp ($12) are both intensely flavored and textured. In result, quite addictive.
-This spot is great for large groups and sharing different types of wings and snacks over fresh coconut ($8) and fresh young coconut cocktail ($13).
