Madecasse Chocolate Bar 03-10-2013

Feelings: After a very busy day at Sunrise Fest and watching RB and CK perform on the stage, most people would probably care for a pint, but I need some strong tea and chocolate, which are important part of my daily diet. To celebrate CK's stage debut, RB brought me home "Madecasse Chocolate 70% cocoa rich & fruity" ($7) from nearby candy shop, Sugar Shop.

This chocolate bar is not only socially responsible but also might be the best dark chocolate I have ever tasted. The smooth texture and different notes of aroma linger for a very long time. This is just like a good glass of wine, tea or coffee or whatever your vice might be. Each piece of chocolate is a wild adventure. While other brands of chocolate stay in your mouth for only a few seconds, Madecasse's chocolate stays strong and continues to provide bold and rich flavors. This really takes all your senses away in a chocolate zen moment.

But nothing makes this taste better than knowing that the cocoa is high quality, and the farmers are paid fairly in environmentally friendly forests in Madagascar. I, on the other hand, have recently been "elevated" to a higher position at work without a raise or promotion, so my chocolates would just taste bitter, not better.
