Jum Mum 08-20-2013

Location: 5 St. Marks Pl
Time: 1pm
People: RB and myself

Feelings: Jum Mum, The Spot Dessert Bar team's steam bun eatery is a perfect spot for quick lunch or late night munchies. From more than five versions of meaty buns, duck, pork belly Korean BBQ, ribs, to chicken as well as vegetarian friendly tofu bun and spiced mushroom kind, Jum Mum will satisfy you with the fluffy buns with tasty fillings at a reasonable price of $2.50-$3.50 each. Rice dishes ($6) and noodles ($6) are also available along with homemade tea ($3).

Sesame crusted tofu with ginger rice is quite ample in portion, and the ginger rice is perfectly cooked. The tofu is flavorful, and the crunchy texture of sesame really ties the dish together.

Jum Mum regular RB really enjoys their 3 buns for $6 deal. But of all, he finds the pork belly and the crusted tofu buns the most enjoyable.

Edith Bouvier Beale once said on Grey Gardens, "He always compliments me on the way I do my corn." I would like to always compliment Jum Mum on the way they do their carbs.
